I met up with Whitney, Kelly and their tiny pup named Alex, last Saturday in Portsmouth for their engagement session. It was unusually warm and sunny, which means we really lucked out since it is mid-November and there could easily be snow on the ground at this point. If there had been snow, we may never have found tiny Alex again! I don’t think I’ve ever met a dog that small before!
It was fun watching 6’7″ Kelly loving on that little pup, and it is clear he adores both Whitney and Alex immensely! These two admit they had pretty much given up on the dating scene when they met during Karaoke night at a bar in Portsmouth, I think what that really means is that fate was just waiting to put these two together. Sweet, warm and easy going their session was a breeze. Our shoot started on Ceres Street, which Portsmouth’s version of Portland’s Wharf Street, then we ventured up to the new Route 1 bridge for a couple of shots before strolling over to Prescott Park and Strawberry Banke. Portsmouth is a perfect town for engagement sessions, even in the off-season.
Their wedding next year will be at The Margate Resort in New Hampshire on beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee. Kelly will be done with grad school in Massachusetts by then, and hopefully they’ll be back in their beloved New Hampshire for good!
