You know what I loved most about photographing Lauren and Billy wedding, besides that they’re adorable? I love their love. It radiates, Lauren was practically glowing all day long, her smile lights up the room, and even when presented with the many challenges of planning a big island wedding, and then the challenges of rain, she never seems flustered, upset or bothered. It was clear that these two came together on this day to get married, and nothing was going to stop that from happening. When their 4pm ceremony start-time came around, and the rain had let up a bit, Billy grabbed a few rolls of paper towels, and a few willing friends, and got to work drying off the benches. When the rain started falling mid-ceremony, Lauren’s dad popped out of his seat, opened a big white umbrella and held it over their heads until their vows were done, their rings exchanged and it was made official with a kiss! Once the formalities were over, it was party time, and these two work in the restaurant business so that meant food, food and more food. I’ve never seen such a spread of deliciousness. Never ending passed appetizers circulated on the wide porch, and a raw bar was set-up in an old boat, a table was COVERED with homemade pies, and dinner was heavenly. This is one of those weddings where I wished I was a guest; everyone had such a wonderful time, their bellies were full, the drinks were flowing, and the view could not be beat.
