It may only be April, but we lucked out with a warm spring day for Kati and Michael’s engagement shoot in Portland’s Old Port. Their wedding is coming up in June, out on Peaks Island, and they came up to Portland to for the weekend to wrap up a lot of final details. They had a tasting with their caterer, a hair and make-up trial (for Kati 🙂 ), a meeting with the florist, a site visit out on Peaks with their planner, and of course their engagement shoot. They truly made the most of a couple of days in Maine!
Since their wedding is on Peaks Island, and they’re ‘from away’, we hit up some of Portland’s most iconic spots to use as backdrops for the photos; and because they’re having an island wedding Casco Bay Line’s recognizable yellow-striped ferry boats figured prominently. They were up for anything I asked of them, even sneaking out onto a very wiggly floating dock to get a cool shot in front of the Wabanaki docked at the terminal. These two are such great sports, and their wedding is guaranteed to be a very fun time for all who attend! Let’s get this wedding season started!
