Kati and Michael chose to have their fun-filled, laid-back wedding at the Lion’s Club property on Peaks Island. It was a perfect day and location for a wedding and reception filled with outdoor activities. Guests could choose to sit and socialize in the shade of the covered picnic pavillion, challenge each other to a cut-throat game of corn-hole, take in the amazing sunset views of Portland, or get down on the dance floor inside. Something for everyone, and with such perfect weather, a lot of time was spent outside.
After countless rounds of yummy, locally sourced passed appetizers and a raw bar, dinner was pizza of all varieties, made on-site and to order by Harvest Moon Catering. Who knew that you could actually bring a gigantic wood-fired pizza oven out to the island! Post-ceremony the lawn was tuned into a playing field filled with food, fun and games! They even rented a hilarious lobster launcher, which kept guests laughing all afternoon long. This was a wedding without pomp and pretension, just fun, friends and family, a great fit for Peaks Island.
Congratulations Kati and Michael, I hope you’re having the time of your lives in Italy!
