Despite foreboding skies and light drizzle, I headed up to Bridgton to photograph Helen and Spencer’s engagement photos yesterday. I’ll be shooting their wedding next year at Migis Lodge. I’ve seen photos from weddings at Migis Lodge before, and it is a location I’ve always wanted to shoot at, so needless to say I’m pretty excited for their nuptials…even if they are a year away!
These two live in Texas, and don’t get to Maine together very often, so squeezing in their e-shoot was very important. We soldiered on despite some rain, and managed to have fun at the same time. I’m not terribly familiar with Bridgton, so Helen and her mom spent the day before the shoot scouting fun locations for us to use. The giant flowering tree was in someone’s front yard, and the views of Pleasant Mountain were from a friend’s property. The covered bridge is pretty much in the center of town, but tucked away down a path that only locals would probably find. I love these types of locations. I also love getting out of Portland to shoot, it really gets my creative juices flowing.
Thanks for a fun shoot Helen and Spencer, I’ll see you again in 2013!!
