It’s had to believe that the 2014 wedding season is over half-way done, and that means that 2015 wedding dates are booking up fast! In fact, I only have four open spots left for next year!
The first 2015 wedding couple to have their engagement shoot this year is Devon and Will. Their wedding, still almost a whole year away, is already totally planned except for some small details. This is a couple who has it together! They’re also a couple that trusts me enough to agree to a dawn shoot in the middle of the summer when the sun rises ridiculously early. I got up at 4:30am on Sunday to meet them at Southern Maine Community College for their shoot. It is pretty obvious from these photos that the light in the morning is stunning, and well worth the early morning buzz of the alarm clock. This light just doesn’t happen later in the day. It also means that we had the beach and city all to ourselves. Not only does that mean no gawkers to be a distraction, but also no one in the background of the photos on what is normally a very popular beach, or walking street like Wharf Street in the Old Port. I also love the quiet calm of the city just waking up to another busy day. Devon and Will also made the most of being up so early to go out for brunch after their session!
Thanks again Devon and Will for putting your trust in me, and for climbing up those ridiculously sharp rocks without hesitation! I appreciate your enthusiasm immensely!
