I have a good feeling about all of this year’s weddings based on how the first three of the season have gone so far – perfectly! Each wedding has been unique; reflecting the wishes and styles of each couple. Courtney and Mark honored their hometown, families, schools and upbringing in many ways. They were married in a Catholic ceremony at Most Blessed Sacrament in Wakefield, Massachusetts. The ceremony was officiated by Courtney’s uncle, which brought it a sweet and personal touch. All day they were surrounded by friends made in high school and college, and of course countless numbers of family members.
Their reception was held at Ipswich Country Club, but first the wedding party took a detour to Plum Island in Newburyport for photos. We weren’t quite sure we’d have time to hit the beach, but I’m so glad that we did. The trolley ride was so much fun, and the photos on the beach turned out great. Much like the day we shot their engagement photos last year, it was bright and sunny, luckily not as hot!
At the reception, the tradition of the Morris family ‘chicken dance’ brought the revelers to their feet, and lots and lots of laughs. The candy bar was a huge hit with both adults and children; I was surprised we didn’t have a riot when it was discovered by the guests!
Thanks for sharing your wedding day with me Courtney and Mark, I hope you’re enjoying Mexico!
