Sunday dawned and it was pouring rain, overcast and downright dreary, we had scheduled Chelsea and TC’s engagements for that evening, but it wasn’t looking good at all. Remarkably, the local weatherman said it would clear (it did!), and OMG it was a stunning shoot. Chelsea never wavered, she had faith and it paid off! The sun even came out, and I think we had one of the prettiest possible evenings for an autumn engagement shoot. The light was to die for. It doesn’t hurt either that they live in a beautiful place, with access to woods, beaches, a pond, and a even herd of very photogenic Belted Galloway cattle. And of course we can’t forget their precocious German Shorthaired Pointer puppy named Rebel. He was running in and out of my shots at a record pace, I was exhausted just watching him!
Our shoot took us to the dock where TC proposed, and then to the beaches and fields of the farm. With such a pretty backdrop I could have kept the shoot going for hours, but the sun sets early this time of year, so we wrapped things up back at their house on TC’s funky old pick-up truck. When they first started dating Chelsea insisted that TC pick her up in the truck for dates, so it made a fitting end to their shoot.
Thanks for having faith in me and Mother Nature, see you two again next summer!
