November is here, the days have gotten very short, and the 2015 wedding season has come to a close! I’m lucky to say that I finished on a high-note with Cassie and Zach’s wedding and reception at The Portland Co., in Portland, Maine. I specify ‘Maine’ because Cassie and Zach moved to the other Portland (Portland, Oregon!) during the course of this wedding planning process, so they traveled all the back East for their unique destination wedding. The Portland Company as a setting was very important for these two, they spent a long time looking across the U.S. for the perfect venue to suit their vision, and they found it in Maine! They transformed this raw, industrial space into a chic, swanky and intimate reception location. The decor was simply divine, and the food from Aurora Provisions complimented it perfectly; rustic yet refined.
Their wedding was smaller, and shorter than my usual big, coastal affairs, but it was so lovely nonetheless. I hope you enjoy the selection of photos below!
Congrats Cassie and Zach, thanks for having me along for the ride!
P.S. I must mention their DJ, Dan Sky, who was not only an awesome DJ, but he sings as well! I was blown away by his unique talent, and what it brought to the evening. You should check him out if you’re planning a wedding in New England!
