The first wedding of the year is always special for me. The anticipation builds all winter long. Come April, I start having dreams about my cameras malfunctioning, I worry about my car, I get all ramped up,  and it always turns out that the first wedding of the year is fantastic, rather than cataclysmic. Meg and […]

Ever since I was a child I’ve had two loves in my life; photography and dogs. I volunteer with my border terrier, Basil at Maine Medical Center. Even during the very busy wedding season, I find time to visit patients a couple of times a month, it really puts things into perspective. Being a therapy dog volunteer […]

  • Danielle - I am in Bangor & would love to get into a therapy dog program. But I just don’t know where to start. I love also photography and dogs. Plus I am a heart patient. So I know how great it is to see a dog when your sick. I would just love to bring that joy to someone. I didn’t know if you could help me with, where to start this. I have a Jack Russel & she is very loving but I don’t know if she has what it takes to do this work. She just barks a lot when she hears stuff. I think I could train her on some of it but I don’t really know how to go about it. I have a trainer I have worked with but she doesn’t have the time to get into what I really need from her.
I am in Portland a lot at MMC so maybe someday I will see you & your dog there 🙂
    Thank you
    Danielle

The forecast kept changing all week, and even though it was leaning towards showers, we decided to try and go for it. Sarah and Jeremy brought the sun and smiles […]

No matter how many years I’ve been a photographer, I know that there are always new things to learn. Last Saturday, two of the most accomplished working photographers alive, Joe McNally and David Hobby, were in Boston giving a flash clinic. David, known for his website Strobist, uses minimal numbers of small flashes (called ‘strobes’ by us […]
