For Aly and Wade’s engagement session we met up at the beautiful Laudholm Farm in Wells, Maine. It was so quiet and almost no one was there, which seemed odd in the middle of the summer because it is a popular destination for both tourists and locals. It was quickly apparent why no one was out enjoying the beautiful evening; within minutes of our arrival hordes and hordes of very hungry mosquitoes descended upon us like we were on a dinner menu. I’ve never experienced such aggressive swarms, after only 15 minutes we called it off and headed to Parson’s Beach in Kennebunk. There were bugs there too, but not quite as bad. That said, I’ve found that trying circumstances often make for awesome photos, and Aly and Wade’s shoot was no exception. These two were such great sports and made the best of the situation without a single complaint. I couldn’t ask for nicer, more adorable clients! Thanks, Aly and Wade, I’m sure the breeze on Peaks Island will keep the bugs away next year!
