Nicole and Chris are getting married in less than a week, but it’s never too late for an engagement shoot in my opinion. Since they live so far from Maine this was the first chance I’d had to meet them in person! They’re both very easy going, and their wedding is sure to be a lot of fun.
I am happy to accommodate such late engagement shoots so that I don’t feel like a stranger to the couple when I show up on their wedding day. Being followed around by someone with a camera is initially awkward for most couples, so I think of these late engagement shoots as more of a ‘wedding day warm-up’, and getting to know you session. Their shoot was also a fun way to tour some of Portland’s sights, and we even managed to run a last minute wedding day errand by picking up ferry tickets at Casco Bay Lines for all of their guests.
I’ll be seeing them again out of Peaks Island next Thursday, I can’t wait for my first island wedding of the year!
