Leslie and Darren are from northern Maine, but live on our county’s southernmost border. They chose a quintessential Maine camp for their wedding; Twin Pine Camps, which lies just outside of Millinocket. The grand peak across the lake was none other than Maine’s most famous mountain: Mt. Katahdin. And she was bathed in the most beautiful light that night.
The weather was the best all year, and their wedding day went off without a hitch! But, in the end they did end up hitched, and will soon head back south to Arizona.
It’s as if Maine and mother nature knew how special this day was, she sent down two bald eagles to skim over the water just after the guests were seated and awating the arrival of the bride and her father. It seemed as though someone said ‘Cue the eagles’, or perhaps it’s Darren’s pull with the National Park Service?
