Laura and Blair’s Inn on Peaks Island wedding and reception

We boarded the ferry and headed out to Peaks Island in the fog and rain last weekend for Laura and Blair’s wedding, but a little bit of rain didn’t stop this fun-loving couple from having a seriously great time! Everyone was in a great mood despite the weather, and even though the ceremony had to be moved indoors, we were still able to get plenty of photos done outside. Such is the weather in New England, luckily when it rains it rarely does so for the entire day.

Blair is from Georgia, and his southern charm is enough to light up any room.  He had me laughing so hard that my face hurt by the end of the night. Especially after he asked the island cop to cuff him, and the cop obliged! That’s a wedding first for me! Look for the photographic evidence below.

It has been a year since I shot a wedding at the Inn on Peaks Island, and it was great to be back. There were cheerful green apples everywhere you looked, a perfect fall wedding accent for a Maine wedding. As always the staff is professional, the events run smoothly, and the food is delicious.

Their dessert table featured whoopie pies, mini-cupcakes, cake pops, and mini-tarts by Nothing Bakes Like a Parrott and it was a huge hit with guests. Dessert tables are so much fun, and visually appealing too! Their band The Delta Knights showed an  impressive range  playing everything from jazz to Motown to southern rock for the Georgia crowd. They’re a amazing group of musicians and it was a blast to watch them having a great time too.

Thanks for choosing us to be a part of such a fun wedding day Laura and Blair, man you keep laughing together for many years to come!
