In October I was lucky to have an assignment in the Galapagos Islands for Lindblad Expeditions and the television show Jeopardy! , we sailed around the islands for a week aboard the National Geographic Endeavour. It was an amazing experience, and my most unique assignment ever. Here are a few of my favorite photos. Granted, I shot over 12,000 pictures that week, so this is just a small selection!

Portland’s Old Port is perhaps my favorite place to shoot in Maine, within just a matter of blocks you can have a gritty working waterfront, or a cobblestone street which is often mistaken for being worlds away. Gabrielle and Ron were up for anything, even though Gabrielle was in a fabulous pair of lavender high-heels (and that adorable dress!). Most women who live in Portland know how hard it is to navigate Wharf Street in heels!
I’m really looking forward to their wedding on Peaks next year. Thanks to Gabrielle and Ron for making this a great start next year’s wedding season!
On a gorgeous Saturday afternoon, Linnea and David tied the knot on the grounds of Southern Maine Community College. The night before, they toasted with guests aboard Casco Bay Line’s Bay Mist, followed by a lobster feast at Jones Landing amidst fog and rain. So quickly the weather changes here in Maine!
Saturday brought sunny skies, a light sea breeze and perfect temperatures. Both the bridesmaids and groomsmen were wearing adorable seersucker dresses and suits respectively, I’d never seen such a cute combination of outfits for a wedding party. David and Linnea’s wedding reception featured divine food and wine pairings, four courses were served and the party really took off after that. There was lots of ‘air-guitar’ to be found among the dancing masses. Everyone was having such a great time, but the music had to end at some point, I’m sure that the festivities continued once everyone made it back to Portland.
Congrats you two! Enjoy South Africa!!
It was anything but gray in New Gloucester, Maine last Saturday for Jess and Sabato’s wedding at the fabulous Pineland Farms despite the fact we got several inches of rain on Friday.
I first met Jess and Sabato last year, I knew they were on the right track with their wedding plans when they told me they had booked Pineland Farms. Pineland Farms has the reputation of being one of the best places in Maine for a wedding; not only do they have beautiful grounds , immaculate facilities, and professional staff, but because most of the food served is produced right there; including their famous cheeses and beef. It was a great fit for their day, and we took advantage of the varied locations around the campus for the photos.
Jess chose black bridesmaid dresses for the girls paired with bright tropical flowers for a unique contrast. Sabato’s Italian heritage was reflected in the lavish dessert spread and fun-loving family! The cannolis disappeared so fast that I barely got a chance to photograph them!
Congrats Jess and Sabato, I hope you’re having a great time in Negril!
