About Alexandra Daley-Clark

Alexandra C. Daley-Clark is a wedding, portrait, and editorial photographer based in southern Maine.

She has worked for Newsweek magazine, and Saba photo agency in New York City. In 2001 she left the big city, and set-off to hike and photograph the entire length of the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine. 2,160 miles, approximately five million steps, 1500 photographs, and six-and-a-half months later, she completed the long walk and settled in Maine.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in photography from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York.

Among her many clients are: The New York Times, Newsweek Magazine, National Geographic Adventure, Lindblad Expeditions, Arthur Frommer’s Budget Travel, Backpacker Magazine, The National Park Service, IDEXX labs, and The Pine Tree Society. In addition, her images have been featured on several book covers.

Most recently she served as the Director of Photography for the Do1Thing project, in addition to being a contract photographer for the America 24/7 project.

On Assignment until February 14th in Central America


Just in case you’re wondering why I’m not blogging or answering your emails it’s because I’m on assignment for Lindblad Expedition in Costa Rica and Panama until February 14th. If you’d like to follow along on the expedition the Daily Expedition Reports will be posted here.

I’ve recieved a Wedding Wire Bride’s Choice award for 2010!

Leslie and Darren’s Mt. Katahdin camp wedding featured in DownEast magazine

Several images from Leslie and Darren’s September Twin Pines Camp wedding were chosen to represent the ‘at the lake’ section of DownEast magazine’s 2010 Maine Wedding Guide. A great choice if you ask me! It was picture perfect day, and a classic lakeside ceremony.

2010 Wedding availability information

As you may know, I only shoot a select number of weddings a year (usually no more than twelve in the traditional Maine wedding season of June-October), so if you’re planning a wedding in 2010 here are the dates that I have already booked. If  your date is not listed below, it is still open, and I look forward to hearing from you soon, 2010 is filling up fast!

  • October 2nd

Please note that these are Saturdays, but I never shoot more than one wedding a weekend, so the corresponding Fridays and Sundays are also not available.
