It was a full weekend of celebration for the family and friends of Erin and Sam. Their nuptials at were held underneath the outstretched branches of blooming apple trees on the grounds of Gilsland Farm Maine Audubon in Falmouth, Maine.
Just like my earlier wedding this spring, the rain held off and the overcast skies made for perfect ‘picture taking’ light. An overcast sky is a photographer’s best friend, so don’t worry if it’s not sunny on your wedding day! Actually, I prefer it that way.
This was a wedding where no detail was too small, everything from the favors, to the invitations and programs, to the soaring tent were perfectly coordinated by Meagan Gilpatrick of Maine Seasons Events. This magnificent affair was tied together with a delicious spread by the ever reliable Black Tie Co., and the most amazing floral arrangements by Flora Fauna. The deep oranges and pinks of the bouquets really popped against the green grass and navy bridesmaid’s dresses. Add in three insanely adorable flower girls and Erin and Sam’s wedding was close to perfection.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention their band, The Waiters, who brought the tent down! A live band always brings a crowd to their feet, and this was a dancing crowd! Lastly, we had a very fun photo booth set up for guests to leave Erin and Sam a message on a chalkboard. The photo booth is a new offering here at Alexandra Daley-Clark Photography and I hope others couples will try it out, it made for some hilarious photos!
Congratulations Erin and Sam, thanks for letting me be a part of your day! -alex
